Oprah Winfrey's Favorite Sandwich

Who doesn't know television celebrity Oprah Winfrey? You might think she only eats gourmet food every minute of the day, but, she can be like one of us too! I think she has the same needs we do, and when it comes to food, she might be as normal as any of us. She might be in the mood for a sandwich one day...why not? All of us do! When that thought hits her brain, she surely has some good pick, in order to fulfill her innermost meal desire. In this flash article, I will let you take a peek at her favorite sandwich, as I was reading at Oprah.com. Here's Oprah's favorite sandwich. Write down the recipe if you want.

Talking about great food the April 2009 issue of Vegetarian Times talks about an awesome restaurant in Madison Ave in Seattle that is worth checking. I will be there tomorrow, mmmm!

Price: Between $16.00 and $25.00
opened 1991
Proprietor: Nat Stratton-Clarke

The Vibe: Located in Seattle's Madison Valley neighborhood, Cafe Flora's eco-conscious philosophy infuses the eatery. A serene garden atrium off the main dining room offers year-round al fresco dining with natural light, tropical greenery, a bubbling fountain, and stone accents. This green-minded cafe uses local, organic, and sustainable produce and builds direct relationships with Washington Farms.

Signature Plates: Portobella Wellington; grilled portobella mushrooms, leeks, and mushroom-pecan pate in puff pastry with Madeira wine sauce; Oaxaca Tacos: corn tortillas filled with mashed potatoes and Cheddar and mozarella cheeses, served with lime creme fraiche, feta cheesem black bean stew, pico de gallo, and wilted greens; Hoppin' John Frotters: black eyed pea cakes, cayenne aioli, red-pepper-and-corn relish, smoked mushroom collard grens, and cheesy grits.
