38th Annual Northwest Folklife Festival, Seattle Center, Washington

Few festivals in the United States are as diverse and fun as the Northwest Folklife Festival, held in the city of Seattle, Washington. This one is the 38th festival and it´s taking place at the Seattle Center. This one is pretty soon , on Memorial Day weekend, from May 22nd to the 25th, so make your plans quick!
As the people from the event explain, "one of the nation's largest community arts festivals, the annual Memorial Day weekend celebration invites everyone to play, dance, sing, learn, taste, and participate! Participants enjoy hundreds of performances and interactive events.

The 38th annual Northwest Folklife Festival will be held Memorial Day weekend, Friday, May 22 through Monday, May 25 at Seattle Center. Although admission is free, visitors’ donations make the Festival possible.

Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day and will include concerts, dance parties, children's activities, storytelling, merchants, food vendors and impromptu happenings of all kinds. Over 250,000 guests are expected to enjoy this quintessentially Seattle event that marks the unofficial beginning of summer, and the official kick-off event celebrating the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific (A-Y-P) Exposition centennial!"

I honestly don't have the time to explain each event held here, because there are literally dozens going on during that weekend. Some include, Blues Juke Joint Dance, Arab Show, Pirates, Punks and Pints, Maritime Show, The Big Jewish Show, the Spicy Cajun and Zydeco Dancing and many more. All of these events are part of the big festival. Be there!

I would like to introduce The Coconut Bistro Channel on YouTube! This has been a great addition to The Coconut Bistro, showing many related videos, complementing my articles and beyond. And it's growing every day!
